BJP MP Pratap Sarangi Injured, Alleges Rahul Gandhi Pushed Him
A heated clash in Parliament has made allegations and counter-allegations from BJP and Congress MPs. BJP MP, Pratap Chandra Sarangi, accused Rahul Gandhi of forcing a fellow MP who he fell upon Sarangi to fall, thus hurting him on the head. Ambulance took Sarangi to the hospital.
The Incident
According to Sarangi, he was standing near the steps when Rahul Gandhi allegedly pushed another MP, causing a chain reaction that led to his injury. Farukkhabad MP Mukesh Rajput also claimed Rahul Gandhi pushed him, and he is currently in the ICU.
In his defense, Rahul Gandhi said, "I was trying to enter the Parliament when BJP MPs tried to block me and threatened me. They are attacking the Constitution, and this is the real issue."
Congress's Stand
Congress MPs, including B. Manickam Tagore, termed the allegations as BJP's "drama" and decided to meet the Lok Sabha Speaker over their grievances. Earlier, Congress MPs, led by Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, staged a protest march in Parliament over alleged insults to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar by BJP leaders.
Ambedkar Controversy
Congress MP K.C. Venugopal accused the BJP of disrespecting Dr. Ambedkar, citing a social media post where Ambedkar's photo was allegedly replaced with George Soros's image. According to Venugopal, the BJP's actions reflect their disregard for Ambedkar's legacy.
