BPSC Exam Protest: Patna DM Slaps Student Chaos Over Question Paper Delay
BPSC Exam Protest: The 70th BPSC exam, held across 912 centers in Bihar on December 13, turned chaotic when students resorted to protest against the delay in question papers. It is alleged that the question paper was distributed 40 minutes late at some centers, while some of the students claimed they did not receive it at all.
Following the exam, agitated students converged at Bapu Center in Patna's Kumhrar area, seeking accountability. District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh and SSP Rajeev Mishra reached the spot to try to cool the tempers. Despite assurances, things worsened, and the DM slapped one of the agitating students, which flared up more controversy.
The protests spilled over to the BPSC office, where students voiced grievances over alleged mismanagement. The incident has drawn criticism and raised concerns about the handling of such situations during competitive exams. Authorities are yet to issue a formal statement addressing the students' complaints.
