Recognized as the world’s largest farmer-driven ecological initiative, Cauvery Calling aims to rejuvenate the Cauvery River, a vital lifeline for over 8.4 crore people in southern India. The movement has been named a Top Innovator by the Trillion Trees: India Challenge, and continues to serve as a model for sustainable agriculture and climate restoration globally.

The initiative has established massive nurseries—like the women-run centre in Cuddalore capable of producing 85 lakh saplings annually—ensuring the supply of 29 high-value timber species including Teak and Mahogany at subsidized rates.

Field executives and expert consultations across 32,000+ farms, digital support through 225+ WhatsApp groups, and large-scale farmer training events have amplified awareness and adoption of tree-based agriculture. On key environmental days in 2024 alone, over 10 lakh saplings were planted across 506 plantation events.

With strong grassroots engagement, expert collaborations, and a powerful vision, Cauvery Calling is transforming degraded lands, empowering farmers, and creating a blueprint for global soil regeneration and water conservation.
