CBSE Board Exam 2025: CCTV Surveillance Mandatory for Exams, 44 Lakh Students to Appear

The CBSE Board Exams 2025 will be conducted under strict CCTV surveillance, following the model adopted by the UP Board. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued official orders to all affiliated schools, stating that CCTV cameras must be installed in all examination halls. The recording of these cameras will be securely stored by the board for monitoring purposes.

The Class 10 and Class 12 board exams for 2025 are scheduled to begin on February 15, 2025. As per the CBSE guidelines, exams will only be conducted in rooms equipped with CCTV cameras. Schools that fail to meet this requirement will not be considered valid exam centers. This new surveillance system is aimed at ensuring transparency and preventing malpractice during the exams.

Around 44 lakh students across India are expected to appear for the CBSE 10th and 12th Board Exams in 2025. The board has instructed schools to install high-resolution cameras that can effectively monitor the exam process. The recorded footage will be retained for at least two months after the declaration of results and will only be accessible to authorized personnel. These cameras are required to have pan, tilt, and zoom capabilities to allow for dynamic monitoring of students.

The CBSE Board Exam 2025 timetable is expected to be released in December 2024, with the practical exam timetable issued separately. The detailed schedule will be made available on the official CBSE website. Schools are advised to prepare accordingly and ensure that all security measures, including proper camera installation, are in place well before the exam dates.

This move aims to enhance the credibility and security of the CBSE board examinations, ensuring a fair and smooth process for students nationwide.
