Chhattisgarh Horror: 27-Year-Old Woman Gang-Raped by Acquaintance and 10 Others in Raigarh; Six Arrested

In a shocking incident from Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh, a 27-year-old woman was brutally gang-raped by her acquaintance and 10 others. The horrific crime took place on the night of August 19, during the Raksha Bandhan festival, in the Pusaur police station area.

According to reports, the victim had gone to visit the Meena Bazaar in Raigarh with a man she knew. On their way back, the acquaintance, along with his 10 friends, stopped the woman and forcibly took her to an isolated location, where they took turns raping her.

The traumatized woman lodged a complaint at the Pusaur police station on Tuesday morning. Following her complaint, the police acted swiftly and arrested six of the accused. Among the perpetrators, there is also a minor involved, police said. The authorities have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the law and are expected to make further disclosures about the incident soon.

This heinous crime has sent shockwaves through the community, raising serious concerns about women’s safety in the region. The police have assured that no stone will be left unturned in bringing all the perpetrators to justice.
