Cininfo Announces Screenwriters Lab 2025 with Nikkhil Advani and SGFA

Cininfo has officially announced the launch of the Cininfo Screenwriters Lab 2025, a 12-week fully funded online writers’ program for emerging screenwriters. The initiative is being launched in partnership with the Sumitra Gupta Foundation for the Arts (SGFA) and will be guided by acclaimed filmmaker Nikkhil Advani as Program Advisor.

The lab is aimed at early- to mid-career screenwriters looking to refine their storytelling craft, gain mentorship from top industry professionals, and access real-world production opportunities. The intensive program will select 12 writers, offering them mentorship from some of Indian cinema’s most respected voices including Sudhir Mishra, Shonali Bose, Vijay Krishna Acharya, and Richa Chadha.

Additional coaching support will be provided by Abhinandan Gupta (Screenwriting Coach) and Maitha Alawadi (Program Coordinator).

Nikkhil Advani remarked, “At a time when new voices are shaping the future of storytelling, initiatives like the Cininfo Screenwriters Lab are essential. I’m thrilled to mentor and guide these emerging talents as they find their unique voices.”

The lab is a significant initiative by Cininfo, a global creative platform co-founded by Dina Mukherjee and Raghav Gupta. Speaking about the program, Dina shared,
