CM Yogi Visits Kanpur Home of Pahalgam Terror Victim Shubham Dwivedi
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath met the family of Shubham Dwivedi, killed in the Pahalgam terror attack. He promised swift action and announced a state funeral for the victim. Shubham's grieving family, including his newlywed wife, called for justice and punishment for the attackers.

Kanpur, India – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday met the family of Shubham Dwivedi, a 26-year-old Kanpur youth who died in the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. Conveying deepest condolences, the CM assured the bereaved family that stern action would be taken against the terrorists who carried out the dastardly act.
Shubham, who got married only two months ago, was murdered when terrorists targeted tourists in Pahalgam. His grief-stricken wife Aishanya wept uncontrollably while recounting the horrific series of events to the Chief Minister and demanded justice and vengeance.
"Terrorism Will Be Wiped Out" – Yogi Adityanath
CM Yogi, trying hard to hold back his tears, proclaimed,
Terrorism is on its last legs. The Pahalgam attack was not only brutal, but a cowardly act that has shaken the country. No Indian can accept this kind of brutality."
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah had already convened a Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting and were taking stern measures.
"This is a two-engine government. There will be no compromise. The terrorists and their supporters will have to face the consequences," the CM added.

A Heartfelt Tribute and State Honors
The mortal remains of Shubham Dwivedi were brought to Kanpur on Wednesday. As a gesture of respect, the district administration declared a state funeral. CM Yogi met Shubham's parents and wife personally, ensuring all government support.
His father, Sanjay Dwivedi, appealed to CM Yogi for exemplary and strict punishment to the perpetrators.
"Teach them a lesson so harsh that no one dares repeat such a crime again," he did folded hands appeal.
