The US will reopen to all the air passengers in November. But only the fully vaccinated ones will be able to enter the country.
India is also among those 33 countries from where fully vaccinated travellers will be allowed to enter.
When it comes to approved vaccines, Covishield is the only India-made vaccine that is on the list of approved ones as of now.
The US also clarified that the final decision on what vaccines would be accepted will be the call of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Also, foreign nationals will need to present proof of vaccination before travel. It will not be required to quarantine on arrival.
The WHO has only approved these seven for use. These are Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Johnson & Johnson, Oxford-AstraZeneca, Covishield (an Oxford-AstraZeneca formulation) and Sinopharm and Sinovac.

Covaxin, developed by Bharat Biotech, a made-in-India does not qualify for the same.
However, Covaxin remains one of the six vaccines that have received emergency use authorisation from India’s drug regulator.
Also, it is being used in the nationwide inoculation programme, along with Covishield and Sputnik V.
Furthermore, India is the world’s biggest maker of vaccines.
