India Tuesday reported 86,498 new COVID-19 cases and 2123 deaths in the last 24 hours. The statistics is as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
This is the lowest number of cases reported in the last 68 days. Now the coronavirus case tally in India has reached 2,89,09,975.
As per the Union Health Ministry, as many as 1,82,282 patients recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. This takes the total number of recoveries to 2,73,41,462.

So far 23,61,98,726 COVID vaccine doses have been administered in the nationwide vaccination drive.
Uttar Pradesh also announced relaxations in the COVID-19 curfew for the state today. Moreover, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 7, 2021, announced that the government will provide free ration to around 800 million people till Diwali. He also announced a centralised inoculation policy for the vaccination against COVID-19 across the country.
