DCP Nimish Patil's Direction Leads Indirapuram Police and SWAT Team to Major Breakthrough in ₹3 Crore Watch Theft Case
Ghaziabad: In a significant breakthrough, the Indirapuram Police and the SWAT team have arrested two individuals in connection with the theft of 671 watches worth ₹3 crore from the Sai Creation showroom in Indirapuram on August 11. The police have successfully recovered 125 watches from the possession of the accused.
According to DCP Trans Hindon, Nimish Patil, the theft was carried out by the infamous 'Chadar Gang' from Ghorasahan in Motihari district, Bihar. The gang comprised 10 criminals, including three Nepali nationals. The criminals had rented a room in Noida's Sector-63 about 20 days before the incident, posing as painters to conduct reconnaissance on the area.

Posing as Painters to Conduct Recce
The arrested suspects have been identified as Santosh Kumar Jaiswal and Rohit Kumar Paswan. The police revealed that the gang members used their cover as painters to survey the area and plan the heist meticulously. Thanks to the relentless efforts of Indirapuram Police Station In-Charge Ravindra Gautam and the SWAT TeamTrans Hindon Zone (Sub-Inspector Gaurav Kumar Singh, Aadesh Tripathi, Ashish Pratap, Vishnu, Krishna Kumar, Intazar Singh, Tarun Yadav, Jaswant Yadav, Saurabh Yadav, Robin) this high-profile theft has been solved.
The search for the remaining gang members involved in the theft is ongoing.
Two Police Officers Suspended
It is worth noting that in the aftermath of the ₹3 crore theft on CISF Road on Sunday, the Indirapuram Station House Officer (SHO) Jitendra Dikshit and Kanawani Police Outpost In-Charge Lal Chand Kanaujia were suspended. Twelve teams were formed to investigate the case, and the police have now successfully cracked the case.
This arrest marks a major achievement for the Ghaziabad Police as they continue to track down the other culprits involved in this significant theft.
