Tragic Death of Female Worker at Mahakal Temple Dining Hall, Dupatta Caught in Potato Peeling Machine
Shocking incident reported from Mahakaleshwar Temple at Ujjain: Female outsourced worker Rajni Khatri lost her life in the dining hall, or Annakshatra, due to the severe injury she sustained from getting caught by the potato peeling machine while wearing a dupatta. She was rushed to the hospital, but doctors could not save her.
Investigation underway
According to Ujjain SDM Lakshmi Narayan Garg, the district administration and temple committee have started an inquiry into the incident. Rajni, a resident of Keshav Nagar, was in charge of cooking and serving food in the temple's dining facility.
Financial Assistance for the Family
Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh has also announced financial support for the victim's family and that the temple committee would extend support to the victim's family. The administration is taking steps to avoid such mishaps in future.

Mahakal Temple's dharamshala is an all-free dining hall providing free meals to thousands of devotees daily. It takes several outsourced workers like cooking and serving food around the clock. Rajni Khatri was also on the list before the accident came upon her.
