No Phones, Only Books: How Two Rajasthan Girls Scored 499/500 in CBSE 12th

CBSE Topper: Two girls from Rajasthan, Debanshi from Jaipur and Khushi from Sikar, did something amazing in their Class 12 CBSE exams. They both scored 499 marks out of 500! That’s just one mark short of perfect.

But what’s their secret? They both say — “We stayed away from phones and focused only on NCERT books.”

Goodbye Phone, Hello NCERT

Debanshi said she stopped using her smartphone while preparing. “I used to study for just 4 to 5 hours every day,” she said. “I treated NCERT books like a Bible and never wasted time on social media.”

Khushi also said no to her phone. “I used it only for 10 minutes a week. My focus was only on my goal,” she shared. She scored full marks (100) in subjects like History, Political Science, Geography, and Painting.

Proud Families Behind Smart Daughters

Debanshi’s father, Lokendra Singh, is a judge who had topped the ADJ exam. Now his daughter has followed in his footsteps by topping in school.

Khushi’s father, Dileep Singh, is a retired army man. Khushi now dreams of becoming an IAS officer and wants to study law to reach her goal.

Girls on Top Again

CBSE results show that girls have been ahead of boys for 16 years in a row. Rajasthan girls had a pass percentage of 93.30%, while boys scored 88.31%.

These two girls proved that with focus, family support, and zero distractions, anyone can shine.

What You Can Learn from Debanshi & Khushi

  • You don’t need to study all day — just stay regular

  • NCERT books are enough if you read them properly

  • Stay away from social media during exams

  • Believe in yourself and keep going

Even without coaching or extra materials, these girls showed us that simple, smart study works best.
