Actor-turned-activist Deep Sidhu went into hiding after rhe Delhi Police booked him for “masterminding” the violence in Delhi on Republic Day. And now, he has appeared in a new video which he has shared via his Facebook Live.
The video shows him crying and slamming the farmer unions and Punjabis for branding him a “traitor”.
What all Deep Sidhu said
“I have raised the voice of Punjab and its people. I was branded a traitor. There were 5 lakh people at the Red Fort, including singers and leaders, but only one (I) was singled out,” Sidhu said.
Deep Sidhu tried to justify the hoisting of flags of religious and farmer unions parallel to the Tricolour at the Red Fort.
“Flags were hoisted as the people wanted to show their anger to the government. But nobody took a stand. I have been deeply hurt, not because of what the government said, but what the people are saying about me,” he said.
Reveals his current location
Deep Sidhu also revealed his current location as he said he is not in Mumbai but living with Bihari labourers.

“The Bihari labourers who work in our fields are supporting me, and I have been living with them for two days now. I am sitting in the fields, and people are saying I am in Mumbai,” Sidhu said.
Deep Sidhu denied any links with BJP or RSS as claimed by many.
“I have nothing to eat, and I am surviving on kinnow. Had I been a government’s man, I would have been in a hotel or a resort,” he said.
Sidhu slams Sunny Deol
Deep Sidhu also slammed Bollywood actor Sunny Deol, accusing him of deserting the people.
“I had given 20 days of my life to Sunny Deol, thinking that he was my brother… And you are saying that I am an RSS or BJP man. Sunny Deol is now making posts after posts. Today, I want to tell Sunny Deol that he is wrong. You deserted us when we expected you to stand with the people,” Sidhu added.
Sidhu also said that he is “not afraid of the police”.
The farmers chased Sidhu after the Red Fort incident, while some even abused him. Farmer union leaders have branded him as an “enemy of their struggle”.
