Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on May 22, 2021, said that the Central government should procure COVID-19 vaccines from other countries to distribute them among states. His request comes amid the shortage of vaccine doses in the national capital.
Pointing out that some foreign countries have vaccines more than their requirement, he asked the centre to request them for surplus vaccines the foreign countries have.
He also confirmed that the vaccination of 18+ beneficiaries has been stopped in Delhi.
“The Delhi government needs 80 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses a month to inoculate the entire population of the national capital,” asserted Kejriwal.
