An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was found inside a bag in old Seemapuri of Delhi on Thursday. Delhi police found the bag from an abandoned house.
Bomb squad and fire brigade teams were soon rushed after the Delhi Police Special Cell zeroed in on it during the probe.
A forensic team from Delhi’s Rohini is conducting investigations at the site presently. The NSG will diffuse the IED in an open area.
The owner of the apartment, Qasim had rented out the apartment on the second floor of the building. However, it was rented out to only one person but three more men moved there. Besides, all of them fled before the police reached the spot.
The Special Cell after identifying the suspects have obtained their photographs. The videos from the spot show NSG at the spot with a bomb detection vehicle.
The police had been probing a case when an abandoned bag with a 3 Kg bomb was found at a busy flower market in Ghazipur of East Delhi.
In January also, a controlled explosion was carried out by the police to defuse the bomb.
