All market activities will be allowed with certain restrictions, Delhi Chief Minister announced on June 13, 2021.

The announcement about the functioning of the market comes as a part of phased unlock plan to be implemented in the national capital.

According to the announcement, only one weekly market will be allowed in a zone on a day, while the restaurant will have permission to reopen with 50 percent of the seating capacity.

Earlier, the shops were following odd-even format to run their business. However, all establishments will now be allowed to open between 10 am and 8 pm. Delhi Metro will have to continue to ply with 50 percent of the capacity.

“We will observe this for one week. If cases increase, stricter restrictions will have to be reimposed, otherwise, it will be continued,” said Kejriwal.

The schools, colleges, and other educational institutions will remain shut. Other establishments such as gyms, spas, yoga institutes, cinema theatres, multiplexes, and banquet halls will also remain closed till further orders.
