Dera Beas Head Names Successor: Jasdeep Singh Gill to Take Over Leadership
In a significant development at the Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB) headquarters in Amritsar, Punjab, the current spiritual leader, Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon, has officially named his successor. Jasdeep Singh Gill, son of Sukhdev Singh Gill, has been appointed as the new head of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas Society and will take on the role of spiritual leader effective immediately from September 2, 2024.
This decision comes in light of Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon's ongoing health challenges, including a prolonged battle with cancer and a heart condition. The announcement was communicated to all sewa (service) incharges through a formal letter, where it was mentioned that Jasdeep Singh Gill would succeed Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon as the Sant Satguru (spiritual leader) of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas Society. He has also been granted the authority to conduct "Naam Diksha" (initiation), a significant ritual in the sect.
Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon expressed his gratitude for the love and support he received from the congregation throughout his tenure. He urged the followers to extend the same warmth and cooperation to Jasdeep Singh Gill as he assumes his new responsibilities as the spiritual leader and protector of the RSSB.
The transition marks a new chapter in the leadership of Radha Soami Satsang Beas, an organization with a large global following, dedicated to spiritual teachings and service. The appointment of Jasdeep Singh Gill signifies continuity in the leadership while honoring the legacy and teachings of Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon.
