Devendra Fadnavis Net Worth Revealed: Assets, Income, and Details of Maharashtra's New CM-Elect

Maharashtra's new Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, has disclosed the value of his net worth and assets, giving an account of the financial status of this key BJP leader. Through a recent affidavit filed before Maharashtra Assembly elections scheduled for October 2024, he had declared his total assets which had stood at Rs 13.27 crore inclusive of movable and immovable properties.

54-year-old Fadnavis has been elected as the BJP legislature party leader, and his appointment as Maharashtra's Chief Minister followed a unanimous decision. His leadership is further solidified with the BJP's significant electoral victory in the recent Maharashtra polls, winning a historic 132 seats out of 288. Fadnavis' leadership, along with allies like Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar's NCP, helped the BJP-led Mahayuti coalition secure a majority of 230 seats in the state.

As far as his assets are concerned, Devendra Fadnavis declared movable assets worth Rs 56.07 lakh in his name. Apart from this, his wife, Amruta Fadnavis, has movable assets of Rs 6.96 crore. The couple also possesses gold ornaments, where Fadnavis has 450 grams of gold valued at Rs 32.85 lakh, and his wife has gold valued at Rs 65.7 lakh.

Under immovable assets, Fadnavis owns Rs 4.69 crore in agricultural land in Chandrapur and a residential building in Nagpur. His wife owns Rs 95.29 lakh in immovable assets. He has no loans from financial institutions but owes Rs 62 lakh to his wife.

Fadnavis, who reported an income of Rs 79.3 lakh in the fiscal year 2023-24, has seen his income decrease marginally from that of the previous year. However, his financial standing remains robust, with substantial investments in financial instruments and savings.

The rise of the BJP leader in Maharashtra speaks volumes of his party's trust in him; the Prime Minister Modi mantra of "Ek hai toh safe hai" resonated through this campaign. Fadnavis returning to the post of Chief Minister marks a new chapter for the state. His financial disclosures will offer greater transparency to the public now that he is assuming the office.
