Diwali 2021: India is all set for the biggest festival Diwali. This year the auspicious festival will fall on Thursday, November 4, 2021.
It is going to be a big celebration as India recorded a marathon speed of vaccination against Covid-19.
Joy is in the air to celebrate Diwali with lighting and diyas. This time, the use of firecrackers has been banned in most parts of the country.
This comes due to the rising air pollution levels in big cities of the country. Moreover, in Ayodhya at the famous Ram Temple people have already started preparations just a day ahead of the festival.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also sent offerings (bhog) and diyas (earthen lamps) to every matha and temple Ayodhya.
The fifth edition of the Deepotsav will also feature tableaux based on the Hindu epic Ramayana, sand art and dancers. This also gives a boost to the local manufacturers, Vocal for Local. People are buying products, clothes and other household items from their local stores.
Diwali celebrations
Recently, the Supreme Court set aside the Calcutta high court stay on banning all kinds of firecrackers in West Bengal on Diwali.
As per the latest SC order, cracker makers will not be able to sell any other crackers except the green crackers. Furthermore, the West Bengal government will monitor the sale of green crackers so that polluting banned crackers are not used.
Also, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit the border area in the North to celebrate Diwali with the troops.
