Don't Forget These Documents for UP PCS Prelims Exam, or You Won’t Be Allowed Entry
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) will hold the UP PCS Preliminary Exam on December 22, 2024. The test will be held in two shifts: from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM for the first paper and from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM for the second paper. All the candidates need to observe stringent guidelines and bring relevant documents to the exam hall, as any missing documents might disqualify them from the exam.
Required Documents for the Examination
Candidates need to carry the following documents at the exam center:-
Admit Card: This is the most important document. Without this, they will not be allowed into the exam hall.
Photo ID Proof: A valid photo identification like Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Driving License.
Photocopy of Photo ID: Photocopy of the same ID proof.
Passport-Sized Photograph: A recent photograph identical to the one attached with the application form.
Prohibited Items in the Exam
Candidates are strictly not allowed to carry any electronic items like calculators, mobile phones, pagers, Bluetooth devices, earphones, or microphones. Violation of these rules may lead to disqualification and a lifetime ban from UPPSC exams.
Exam Overview
The UP PCS Prelims consists of two papers, totaling 400 marks. Both the papers are of 200 marks. Paper 1 consists of 150 questions, and Paper 2, which is qualifying in nature, has 100 questions.
Selection Process
The candidates who qualify at the Prelims stage shall be allowed to sit at the Mains examination along with an interview. Ultimately, the merit list is prepared by aggregating marks to choose the right set of candidates for administrative services such as Deputy Collector, DSP, and Block Development Officer.
