DTC Bus Attacked in Delhi: Glass Broken, Wires Pulled, Police Probe Underway

In Delhi’s Safdarjung Enclave, a DTC bus was vandalized by unknown miscreants who damaged the glass and wires. The incident occurred during a broader disruption of bus services due to a driver and conductor strike. Police are investigating the complaint filed by the affected driver.

DTC Bus Attacked in Delhi: A Delhi Transport Corporation bus on Route 711 travelling from the Uttam Nagar Depot to Sarai Kale Khan was attacked in Delhi's Safdarjung Enclave region. The incident reportedly took place at noon when unknown miscreants stopped the bus at a bus stop in the area and vandalised the bus, breaking glass panes and pulling out some wires from another DTC bus.

The attacked bus driver reported the incident where he stated the attackers were unknown. To ensure safety, a PCR call was made, and a complaint filed at Safdarjung police station.

The incident coincides with a strike by temporary DTC drivers and conductors, leading to a near-total shutdown of the services in Delhi. The police have launched an investigation to track and nab the culprits responsible for the incident that has caused a stir about public transportation in the city.
