An earthquake hit Assam Wednesday morning. As per the National Center for Seismology, the magnitude of the earthquake was 6.4.
Strong tremors were felt in northeast and other parts of north Bengal.
However, there no reports of casualties so far. But photos of broken walls and windows with cracks are now going viral.
Moreover, three aftershocks were reported in the region.
According to The National Center for Seismology, the epicentre of the earthquake was 43 km west of Assam’s Tezpur.
The earthquake struck at a depth of 17 km from the surface.
