Tremors were experienced in several villages of the Mundlamuru and Tallur mandals of Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh. The villagers were gripped with fear as they ran out of their homes, and chaos ensued in the affected areas.
Panic in Schools and Offices
After the tremors, students of a school in Mundlamuru moved to open grounds for safety. Government offices also saw employees leaving their workstations and stepping out in fear.
Earthquake in the Region Earlier
Earlier this month, the district experienced tremors in a good part of Telangana and parts of Andhra Pradesh on December 4. That 5.0 magnitude quake took place with its epicenter at close proximity to Medaram of Mulugu district. The impact was felt in districts like Warangal and beyond.
