ED Raids IAS Officer, Former RJD MLA In Money Laundering Case

The Enforcement Directorate raided the premises of Bihar-cadre IAS officer Sanjeev Hans and former RJD MLA Gulab Yadav. The probe agency conducted raids at multiple locations in Bihar, Delhi, and Pune on Tuesday.

Hans is the principal secretary of the Bihar energy department, sources confirmed. The operation, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, is linked to corruption and extortion.

Authorities searched 22 premises, including Hans and Yadav's homes in Patna.

In January last year, Patna Police filed an FIR against Hans and Yadav for rape and blackmail. The FIR was ordered by a local court after the woman approached it.
