The Delhi Police crime branch has busted an interstate gang for allegedly manufacturing fake Remdesivir, an anti-viral drug used in the treatment of coronavirus, news agency ANI reported.
The police have arrested seven persons allegedly involved in the production of fake Remdesivir.
Shibesh Singh, Additional Police Commissioner, crime, told ANI, the police have also busted an Uttarakhand manufacturing unit operated by the gang.
Police have seized 198 vials of fake drug, 300 empty vials and packaging material.
“Delhi Police Crime Branch busted an interstate gang that produced fake Remdesivir & arrested 7 people. We also busted their manufacturing unit in Uttarakhand. 198 vials of fake Remdisivir, packaging material, 3000 empty vials seized.” he said.
