From Family Politics to Respecting the Constitution: PM Modi Outlines 11 Resolutions in Parliament
Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented 11 key resolutions during a discussion on the Constitution in the Lok Sabha. He emphasized that adhering to these resolutions would align with the essence of the Constitution and help realize the vision of a developed India by 2047, the centenary of independence.
PM Modi’s 11 Resolutions:
Citizens and governments must fulfill their duties with integrity.
Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas" will see developmental benefits reaching out to all strata of society.
There has to be a zero tolerance to corruption and bring back the social shame attached to corrupt elements.
Cultivate pride in abiding by law and traditions.
Remove colonial mentality and pride in cultural heritage.
Free politics of family dynasty for a strengthening of democracy.
The country has to adhere to the constitution and should not be an instrument of political engineering.
Retain existing reservations under the Constitution but not on religious lines.
Empower women to drive development.
National progress should come from state-wise development.
Keep working towards "Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat."
Criticism of Congress on Reservation
PM Modi attacked Congress by saying that it has, in the past, opposed reservations. He mentioned letters of the former Prime Ministers including Jawaharlal Nehru and speeches in Parliament delivered to criticize the reservation policy. Modi said that Congress dropped the Mandal Commission report into dustbin and said it has implemented it only when they lost power. According to Modi, it was historical injustice.
