Farmers to Hold Nationwide Tractor March on December 16, Announces Sarwan Singh Pandher

Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher has declared a tractor march on 16 December all over the country except Punjab. He made this declaration in response to the "Delhi Chalo" march from Shambhu Border, which was stopped by police. Police resorted to tear gas and water cannons to disperse protesting farmers, leaving many injured.
Rail Roko on 18 December
Pandher said that from 12 PM to 3 PM on December 18, a rail blockade will be carried out across Punjab after the tractor march. He called upon the Punjabis to join the protest by blocking trains at platforms and railway crossings. This comes in the wake of police brutality allegations during recent clashes at the Shambhu Border.
Police Action Draws Criticism
This was from the farmer leader saying tear gas, physical force and chemically laced water are used against farmers and peacefully marching towards the site and their voices cannot be dampened since 50 %of the country relies on farming.
Pandher also spoke of the deteriorating health of Jagjit Singh, a farmer leader, who has been sitting at the Khanauri Border on hunger strike. It is time for the government to take notice. The protesters continue to demand MSP but reject the use of force on their protests.
