Gautam Adani Bribery Case: Congress leader and Lok Sabha opposition chief Rahul Gandhi has again attacked billionaire Gautam Adani, this time for being a party to a bribery scandal allegedly linked to U.S. agencies. While American agencies have caught Adani red-handed, he said there has been no action against him in India. He demanded Adani be arrested and hinted at a close nexus between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Adani, vowing to raise the issue in Parliament. Gandhi demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the allegations, on claims that Adani is involved in €2,000 crores of corruption.

Gandhi had also targeted SEBI chief Madhabi Puri Buch, accusing her of shielding Adani. He claimed that Buch did not do her due diligence with regard to the case and demanded her removal from the post. Gandhi further accused her of having her interests in Adani's companies and called for an independent inquiry into her actions.

Speaking about the Modi-Adani connection, Gandhi said, "So long as Modi and Adani are together, nothing will happen to Adani." He claimed that BJP's funding is linked to Adani and the government would not take any action against him as it would implicate the Prime Minister.

When asked about Adani projects in Congress-ruled states, Gandhi maintained that any project running illegally should be investigated and canceled if found guilty. He emphasized accountability and strict action against wrongdoers, without considering their political affiliations.
