Ritika Phogat, cousin of wrestlers Geeta and Babita Phogat allegedly committed suicide in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur.
This comes after she lost a wrestling tournament final. Ritika Phogat was playing in the state-level sub-junior, junior women and men wrestling tournament.
Though, she had lost the final by one point on March 14. When unable to bear the loss, she killed herself.
Besides, Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways General (Retd.) VK Singh also confirmed the sad news of Ritika Phogat’s death on social media.
Moreover, Geeta Phogat also shared a picture of her deceased sister on Twitter with a condolence message.
The 17-year-old wrestler got training under Mahavir Singh Phogat. Geeta and Babita are famous wrestlers on whom the 2016 movie Dangal was made.
