Woman Changes Gender, Marries Girlfriend, and Starts New Life After 57 Years

Rajasthan: It is a love story of Rajasthan where a woman, who spent ₹15 lakh to change her gender, married her girlfriend. The couple, after going through a complex journey, now lives together in Mathura.
The Journey to Change
Savita hails from Bharatpur and in 2017 shifted to Jaipur for studying. There she befriended Mamta, who was her classmate. Years passed and their friendship became love. However, the lockdown during the pandemic did not put an end to their relationship.
Plan to Change Sex
After the pandemic restrictions were lifted in 2021, Savita and Mamta met again. Their relationship grew even stronger during this time. It was during this time that they discussed the idea of gender change. Savita decided to transition from female to male. With Mamta's support, Savita underwent a gender change surgery in Indore in 2022, a process that took three surgeries and a cost of ₹15 lakh.
Marriage and New Life
Following the surgery, Savita was renamed Lalit Singh, who changed all her documents and married Mamta in a Vedic ceremony in Jaipur on November 24, 2024. They started living together as husband and wife in Mathura where Lalit worked as a supervisor at a medical college.
The Search and Discovery
However, after this marriage, when Mamta's father started getting a groom ready for her also without knowing their marriage, he could not mention the truth; hence, the girl ran towards Bharatpur to attend classes of B. Ed and completely switched off the mobile phone; the family members even failed to spot her, which led to making a missing case.
Police Case and Conclusion
The police followed Mamta's last call location to Mathura and found that she was connected with Lalit Singh. They brought the couple to Jaipur, where the couple confirmed their mutual consent to live together. The police permitted them to return to Mathura and continue living there.
