A late-night party in Crystal Café, Shalimar Garden area in Ghaziabad, turned violent after an argument over music played at the party escalated into a full-fledged brawl. The clash of two groups spilled onto the streets, which included use of sticks, physical assault, and even gunfire. A viral video shows people attacking each other with sticks, damaging a Scorpio SUV, and audible gunshots in the background.
The Incident
The scuffle started as Anand Singh and his friends, who were celebrating at the café, clashed with Sonu, a Delhi Police head constable, and his group, who were celebrating a birthday. The argument over the choice of song turned sour, and soon it began to get violent outside the café.
Police Action and Investigation
After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. Six people from both sides have been arrested, and medical examinations for the injured, Anand and Surendra, have been done.
A senior police official, ACP Saloni Agarwal, confirmed that the police have registered a case under appropriate sections and are analyzing CCTV footage to verify details, including the reported firing during the clash.
