Ghaziabad Loni's BJP MLA Says, 'Officials in UP Don't Listen to the Chief Minister, I'm Speaking the Truth'

BJP MLA Nand Kishor Gurjar of Loni Assembly constituency in Ghaziabad fired a broadside accusing officials in Uttar Pradesh that officials in the state are not taking orders from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This came after a viral video emerged showing police officers allegedly collecting money, reportedly a bribe, at an ACP office in Ghaziabad.

Gurjar alleged that corruption in the Ghaziabad police department is at its peak, with instances of officers openly taking bribes, including for illegal activities. He accused some officers of working against BJP's interests and colluding with opposition parties like the SP and Congress.

Meeting with the CM

Gurjar revealed that he and others MLAs met CM Yogi Adityanath thrice who promised that he will remove Ghaziabad Police Commissioner and concluded, "The CM is honest and committed, but it seems officials are not listening to him."

Dire warning for BJP's Future

He warned that if corrupt officials were not brought to book, it might pose a threat to BJP's chances in the future elections, including 2027, but asserted that action against dishonest officers could ensure victory with more than 350 seats.
