VHP Shourya Yatra Held in Gonda to Protest Against Hindu Persecution in Banglades
VHP Shourya Yatra: This growing atrocity against Hindus, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal led a Shourya Yatra in the town of Gonda of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday in the light of destruction of Bangladeshi Hindu temples.
It was an exercise for Hindu unity and Hindu voices.
Shourya Yatra: A call for Unity
The Shourya Yatra started from Gandhi Park with a religious ceremony, holding saffron flags near Lal Bahadur Shastri Mahavidyalaya. Slogans like "Bangladeshi, wake up!" rang through the city to show their protest against the cause. The yatra cut across important locations like Lal Bahadur Shastri Mahavidyalaya Chauraha, Guru Nanak Chauraha, Guddu Mal Chauraha, Chowk Bazaar, and Purani Sabzi Mandi, respectively, before finally coming to Gandhi Park to mark the end of the yatra.
Message of the Yatra
At the culmination of the yatra, VHP and Bajrang Dal leaders appealed to Hindus to remain united to fight the current persecution being meted out to the community in Bangladesh. Collective action and consciousness needed to be brought in for solving these issues.
Police Ensure Smooth Execution
To maintain order and provide safety for the yatra, Gonda Nagar Kotwali police had made appropriate security arrangements. Policemen were put at strategic locations and officers accompanied the procession at both its front and rear, therefore, nothing could go amiss.
Importance of the Shourya Yatra
The Shourya Yatra is the symbol of growing frustration and anger among Hindu organizations against the incidents in Bangladesh. It also acts as a call to Hindus to gather and demand justice for the community members who are being oppressed.
