Google Maps Accident in Bareilly: Another such incident is reported where the user has been stranded while travelling with Google Maps in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Just after the unfortunate incident, where three people had died falling from a half-constructed bridge, another accident happened on November 24 in the same town of Bareilly. The vehicle fell into the Kalapur Canal of the Izzat Nagar area.

The accident occurred at the time when the three passengers in the vehicle, traveling from Badayun to Pilibhit, had been misled by Google Maps, which directed them down a road eroded by the canal near the Barakapur Tiraaha village, and the car flipped into the water. All three were rescued without any injuries. Police arrived on the spot soon and extracted the car from the canal using a JCB machine.

Not long ago, three people were killed on November 24 after their car fell from an incomplete bridge in Badayun-Farridpur route. The bridge had no warning signs. Though it was incomplete, no barriers were put on it to deter drivers. As an aftermath of this mishap, a case was lodged against five engineers and Google was served a notice for misleading directions.

In the latest incident, the three passengers, including Divyanshu, a resident of Auraiya, survived the crash and their vehicle was pulled out with the help of a crane.
