All displaced Kashmiri Pandits will be resettled in the valley by 2022, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said as he informed about the government’s decision on February 13, 2021.

He also said that the families of 44, 000 relief cardholder Kashmiri Pandits are getting Rs 13, 000 every month.

“The government also provides free ration and has a plan to settle them back in their houses in the valley,” he said.

He was replying to a question asked during the discussion on the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) 2021 in the parliament.

“The biggest hurdle in the industry in Jammu and Kashmir was that they didn’t get land when they wanted to set up any industry there. After the withdrawal of the Art (370), we changed the law of the land. Now the situation is such that the industries will be established inside Kashmir,” he added.
