Gwalior: Movie Scene Turns Real as Man Chews Off Victim's Ear Over Dispute During 'Pushpa 2' Screening
A man was bitten on the ear and chewed during a street fight allegedly inspired by a scene from blockbuster movie Pushpa 2: The Rule. The clash occurred at Kajal Talkies when Shabbir Khan, a resident of Gwalior, had an argument over some money being charged at the canteen with its employees Raju, Chandan, and M.A. Khan. The fight became intense and one of the accused started acting like actor Allu Arjun's intense fight scene from the movie, bit off Shabbir's ear and chewed it.
Shabbir, injured and bleeding, got himself treated in the hospital and later filed a complaint at the Inderganj police station. He claimed that the influence of the film led the attackers to act violently, mimicking cinematic aggression. His injuries required eight stitches.
Police have lodged a case under IPC sections 294, 323, and 34 against the accused. They are waiting for the medical report of Shabbir to take further action. Authorities claimed that such violent imitations from movies need to be curbed to prevent similar incidents in the future.
