Discontent among BJP leaders in Haryana became apparent shortly after the party released its candidate list for the upcoming assembly elections. Several leaders, upset over not receiving tickets, began resigning, raising concerns that their departure could significantly impact the party’s prospects in the polls. In response, the BJP has already initiated damage control efforts.

One of the most prominent leaders expressing discontent is Karnadev Kamboj, who resigned from the party. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini personally visited Kamboj to reconcile, but the meeting made it clear that Kamboj’s dissatisfaction runs deep.

A video circulating on social media shows CM Saini extending his hand to greet Kamboj, but the latter ignored him and walked away without shaking hands. The viral clip captures Kamboj clasping his hands together in a traditional greeting as he walked past Saini, while the chief minister attempted to stop him by offering a handshake. Despite this gesture, Kamboj briskly moved forward, brushing off Saini’s hand.

The incident quickly spread across social media platforms, with users sharing the video, underscoring the visible rift between Kamboj and the BJP leadership.

Karnadev Kamboj’s Resignation

In his resignation letter, Kamboj outlined his reasons for leaving the party. He stated that the BJP is no longer the party envisioned by its founders, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, claiming that traitors within the party are being prioritized over loyal members.

Kamboj had been seeking a ticket for the Indri assembly seat, but the party ignored his demand, instead renominating sitting MLA Ram Kumar Kashyap. This decision further fueled Kamboj’s frustration, leading to his resignation.

As the Haryana elections approach, the BJP now faces the challenge of pacifying disgruntled leaders like Kamboj, who could potentially harm the party’s performance if their grievances remain unaddressed.
