Heartbreaking Accident in Buxar: 4 Girls Killed as They Are Buried Under Pile of Dirt, One Injured

Heartbreaking Accident in Buxar: Four girls suffocated to death. Buxar district : Four girls were killed yesterday after they were buried in a mound of dirt for household use near Sarenja Government Primary School on the Rajpur side, police said on Sunday.
The four girls had accompanied their classmate to fetch soil for household work on an old mound near her school, where they begin digging up. A small portion of it collapsed, that trapped the girls under the rubble.
After the incident, children from nearby houses raised an alarm, and the local residents rushed to the site and cleared the rubble. Unfortunately, four of the girls were declared dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital, while one was rescued and is receiving treatment. The deceased girls were identified as Nayan Tara Kumari (11), Salini Kumari (8), Shivani Kumari (6), and Sanju Kumari (11). Karishma Kumari, the daughter of Ramchandra (10), is in hospital care for her injuries.
The family and community in a state of grief
The families of the victims are devastated by the loss, and the entire community is in mourning. The girls had gone to collect soil for home cleaning and decoration in preparation for the Pidhiya festival. Upon receiving the news, Rajpur police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation into the incident. The local administration has also ordered an inquiry to determine the circumstances leading to this tragic accident.
The Dangers of the Old Mound
As per the in-charge of Rajpur police station, the soil mound was very old and digging was done under it, and thus, it became weak and deep. It fell down due to this which caused the tragedy. Officials are concerned with the child who is still alive with her treatment going on currently.
