Hemant Soren Cabinet Expansion Today: The expansion of Hemant Soren's cabinet in Jharkhand is scheduled for today. The new cabinet will include five ministers from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), four from Congress, and one from RJD. The expansion had been delayed due to Congress not finalizing its list of ministers, but with the list now finalized, the oath-taking ceremony will take place today.

The ministers from Congress who will take the oath today include:

Deepika Pandey Singh - Serving from the Mahagama constituency in Santhal Pargana.
Radha Krishna Kishore - A senior legislator from Palamu, belonging to the Dalit community.
Dr. Irfan Ansari - A former minister and MLA from Jamtara.
Shilpi Neha Tirkey - An Adivasi leader, daughter of former legislator Bandhu Tirkey.
JMM Ministers: From JMM, the potential ministers include:

Ramdas Soren
Deepak Birua
Hafeezul Hassan
Savita Mahato or Mathura Mahato (One of these will likely be chosen)

Anant Pratap Dev

RJD Minister: Sanjay Yadav, an MLA from Godda, will represent RJD and is expected to take the oath as a minister. Initially, there was speculation about Devghar MLA Suresh Paswan being included, but now, he is likely to be appointed as the leader of the party's legislative group.

The expansion will take place at the Raj Bhavan in Ranchi, where 10 legislators will be sworn in as ministers. The formula for the new government allocation includes five ministers from JMM, four from Congress, and one from RJD. Although there will be no reduction in Congress' quota of ministers, the number of departments allocated to Congress may be reduced.

The oath ceremony will begin with Protem Speaker Stephen Marandi, who was appointed to the position during the Cabinet's first meeting on November 28. After taking the oath, the new ministers will be sworn into office, taking an oath of office and secrecy.
