Hidden Camera Scandal at Dehradun's Renowned Anandam Restaurant: Employee Arrested for Filming Woman in Bathroom

A shocking incident has come to light at the well-known Anandam Restaurant in Dehradun, where a hidden mobile phone was discovered in the women's bathroom, allegedly used to secretly record a woman. The disturbing footage has been recovered by the authorities.

The incident occurred on August 15 at a restaurant located near a petrol pump on Chakrata Road, just before Ballupur Chowk. The matter came to public attention when women and some prominent patrons present in the restaurant discovered the hidden camera, leading to a significant uproar and protest. The situation escalated quickly, prompting the restaurant owner to rush to the scene, while the police immediately began their investigation.

Taking the matter seriously, Dehradun SSP Ajay Singh issued strict directives, and the Cantt Police promptly registered a case against the accused, detaining him late last night. The police also seized the mobile phone used for the recording. In addition, a case has been filed against the restaurant owner for his potential involvement or negligence.

Inspector Cantt Kailash Chandra Bhatt informed that the accused, identified as Vinod, a resident of Jharkhand, had been working at the restaurant for a year. Vinod was employed as a cleaner and allegedly hid his mobile phone in the women's bathroom, turning on the recording function. Shockingly, this was not the first time he had committed such an act.

Anand Gupta, the owner of Anandam Restaurant, stated that he has fully cooperated with the police and provided them with all the necessary information. He mentioned that Vinod was hired through a security agency and has submitted a written statement to the authorities. Gupta emphasized that strict action should be taken against the accused employee.

The police are continuing their investigation, and the public is awaiting further developments in this deeply troubling case.
