High Alert in Delhi: 40 Schools Threatened with Bomb Attack, Security Tightened, Students Sent Home

Delhi Schools Bomb Threat: In a startling incident, 40 prestigious schools in Delhi, among them are DPS RK Puram, GD Goenka, Mother Mary British School, Salwan Public School, and Cambridge School received email threats of bombs exploding there. The threats demanded a ransom of ₹25.4 lakh; school administrations acted fast in evacuating the students, alerting the police, and informing the fire services. The security around these institutions has been intensified as the government officials look into the case.

Panicking over the threatening mails, all the students were sent home. Police teams have been posted outside schools as safety measures, and bomb squads are ready to move, if required. It is not the first such threat in Delhi this year. Earlier, in February and May, similar threats had been made against schools. One of the bomb scares reached to this point where it was made in DPS RK Puram.

Meanwhile, bomb threat calls were also received by Uttar Pradesh police regarding three major locations: Hussain Ganj Metro Station, Charbagh Railway Station, and Alambagh Bus Stand. After proper investigation by bomb disposal squads and search dogs, these threats were found to be hoaxes. The authorities are now tracing the source of the calls to apprehend the culprits.
