Ram Swaroop Sharma, BJP MP from Himachal Pradesh was found dead at his residence in Delhi Wednesday.
Police are investigating whether it is a case of suicide or not. Sources say that the parliamentarian was found dead in his room. Ram Swaroop Sharma was 62 and was unwell for the past few months.
After the news of his death, BJP has cancelled its parliamentary party meeting this morning.
Police say that Mr Sharma’s PA had alerted the police control room after he did not respond to his calls.
Furthermore, Mr Sharma’s room was forced open by police officials. His body was hanging through the ceiling fan.
