Statement on X by Iltija about the Viral Video

A video uploaded by user Shireen Khan shows a minor boy beating up other Muslim boys with slippers, forcing them to chant "Jai Shri Ram." One boy was allegedly slapped and his head smashed against a wall after he uttered "Allah." The video has gone viral and caused an outrage on social media.

In reaction to this, Iltija Mufti said, "Even Lord Ram would hang his head in shame seeing such acts. Beating minor boys just because they refused to utter his name is disgraceful." She further said, "Hindutva is a disease that has infected millions of Indians and tarnished God's name."

As the video continues to circulate widely, it further brings to the fore existing concerns about communal tensions and the need for strict action against those inciting hate crimes.
