Hyderabad fire near Charminar kills 8 people
According to reports, the fire spread quickly inside the building. A senior doctor from a private hospital confirmed that eight people were brought dead, as reported by PTI. Some children are among the dead, making this tragedy even more painful for the local community.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy expressed deep shock after hearing about the Hyderabad Charminar fire. He immediately asked officials to take strong steps to rescue people trapped in the building and provide all help to the victims.
As per ANI, a total of 11 fire engines were sent to the scene to bring the fire under control. Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, who visited the spot, said that police informed him that eight people have died, but the exact number will be confirmed by the authorities.
Hyderabad building fire injures many, rushed to hospital
An AIMIM MLA who was present at the site said around 20 injured people were taken to different hospitals for treatment. The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) also issued an official statement directing hospitals to give proper medical care to the injured.
This tragedy has happened just days after another major fire broke out in a three-storey building in Begum Bazar, Hyderabad, raising serious concerns about fire safety in the city.
