An MiG fighter jet crashed in Punjab Friday. The pilot Abhinav Chaudhary’s body was found 2 km away from the crash spot. An intense search followed after the jet crash.
Though, his parachute was found open and an SOS was also sent from his device to IAF. But by then he had died. He tried to land safely using the parachute, but apparently broke his neck and spinal cord.
The squadron leader had got married in 2019. The deceased pilot Abhinav is survived by his father. According to the family, Abhinav had urged his father to quit his job as he was confident he would be able to sustain the family financially. He has a sister and a mother who is a homemaker.
Moreover, Abhinav was supposed to come back to Meerut for leave. The jet crash took place at Langeana village of Moga district in Punjab. The IAF fighter jet was on its way back to Suratgarh after routine training at the time of the accident.
Abhinav’s death has left his whole family shattered. A court of inquiry has also been ordered into the accident.
