Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the entire nation on January 26, 2021, country’s 72nd Republic Day. Rajpath will experience a scaled-down parade and spectators than before due to the pandemic.
The parade will have a shorter route with fewer soldiers in the contingent. The strength of spectators will be around 25,000 only.
In view of the Republic Day parade, Delhi police have made adequate traffic arrangements.

Elaborate security arrangements will remain in place till the completion of the January 26 programs.
Five-layer security cover to maintain law and order in the light of farmer’s tractor rally has also been deployed.
A large number of farmers will head towards Delhi to protest against the farm laws. In order to maintain law and order, a temporary wall has been erected to stop vehicular entry in Delhi.

President Ram Nath Kovind addressed the nation on the eve of the 72nd Republic Day. He asserted that India remains committed to peace.
The president said India’s armed forces are “adequately mobilised” in a “well-coordinated” move to thwart any attempt to undermine national security.
Also the Union Home Ministry has released the names of the recipients for Padma awards 2021, the highest civilian award of the country. The award has three categories, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri.
Not only this, PM Narendra Modi also congratulated the winners of the young awardees on Twitter.
The President of the country confers these awards at ceremonial events at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. It takes place every year around March or April.
