India recorded 2,22,315 new coronavirus cases on Monday. This remains the lowest in round 38 days. The death toll crossed 3-lakh mark, as per the Union Health Ministry data. The death toll climbed to 3,03,720.
Also, the national COVID-19 recovery rate has improved to 88.69 per cent. States will receive over 48 lakh doses in the next three days, the Union Health Ministry said Monday.
The Union Health Ministry has finally decided to provide the facility of on-site registration on CoWIN for the 18-44 years age group.
But this feature will only be enabled for Government COVID Vaccination Centers (CVCs), at the present moment in time.
Moreover, the Union Health Ministry has advised the States and UTs to issue clear instructions to all District Immunization Officers (DIO) to strictly adhere to the decision of their respective States/UTs.
Furthermore, the ministry has advised States/UTs to be cautious and stay vigilant while opening up on-site registration and appointment for the 18-44 years age group.
