India records 62,224 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours

India on Wednesday reported 62,224 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. Although this is slightly higher than Tuesday’s tally. The death count climbed to 3,79,573 with 2,542 fresh fatalities.

Experts have been warning against a resurgence in cases with the ease in curbs. With the fresh coronavirus cases, now India’s case tally has climbed to over 2.96 crores, as per Union Health Ministry. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE

Now anyone over the age of 18 can walk in to the nearest vaccination centre to get registered on the CoWIN digital platform and be inoculated against coronavirus.

As the government aims to increase the pace of vaccinations and tackle the ‘vaccine hesitancy’ it is no longer mandatory to pre-register online.
