INS Tushil Joins Indian Navy: The strategic cooperation between India and Russia continues to be strengthened, as seen on Monday when Russia handed over the powerful warship INS Tushil to India. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi attended the commissioning ceremony when the state-of-the-art warship, armed with indigenous missiles and cutting-edge technology, officially joined the Indian Navy.
The defence minister along with the chief of Navy landed in Moscow during the late hours of Sunday night and on Tuesday, he would attend the 21st session of the Inter Government Commission on Technical Cooperation with the Russian counterpart, Andrei Belousov. Singh may even hold meeting with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.

India's Naval Supremacy:
INS Tushil is a highly capable war ship that will definitely bolster the strengths of India's naval capacity. With 3,900 tons and measuring 125 meters in length, this war vessel is known to deliver brutal attacks. This Russian-Indian advanced technology blend belongs to the Talwar-class of stealth frigates that emerged from Russia's Yantar Shipyard.
Equipped with 24 medium-range missiles and an advanced electronic warfare system, INS Tushil is capable of carrying 18 officers and 180 personnel who can operate for up to 30 days at sea. The warship can reach speeds of up to 59 km/h, further bolstering India's defense capabilities.
Rajnath Singh's Three-Day Visit to Russia
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is visiting Russia from December 8 to 10 for a three-day visit, where he will address the Indian community and oversee key defense discussions. This is after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's participation in the BRICS Summit in Russia in October. Russian President Vladimir Putin is also likely to visit India soon, as preparations for his visit are underway, according to the Kremlin.
