ISRO Launches Proba-3 Mission: A Solar Exploration Journey to Unveil the Sun's Secrets

ISRO successfully launched the Proba-3 mission on Thursday from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. The mission, a collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA), aims to explore the Sun's outer corona. The PSLV-C59 rocket carried two satellites designed to work in tandem, collecting crucial data on the Sun's mysteries. Although the launch was delayed by a day due to a technical issue, it took place at 4:04 PM, 8 minutes earlier than originally planned.

ISRO Launches Proba-3 Mission: A Solar Exploration Journey to Unveil the Sun's Secrets

ISRO has successfully launched the Proba-3 mission. This one is a very important achievement in solar exploration. Today, it was launched at an exact time of 4:04 PM IST, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. Proba-3 is a solar mission developed in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA), which is expected to give a deeper understanding of mysteries related to the Sun.

This is the sixth solar mission launched by ISRO, with the first mission being in 2001. Proba-3 was launched aboard the PSLV-C59 rocket, which carried two satellites to be used to study the Sun's corona, the outermost part of its atmosphere. The satellites will work in tandem, communicating with each other as they travel through space.

A Collaborative Mission

The proba-3 is a joint mission of several countries in Europe, including Italy, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, and Poland, contributing toward developing these two satellites. In terms of what will be targeted for achievement from the mission, the main thing is to collect detailed information about the outer corona of the Sun. Provided with many advanced instruments on the satellites, they will scan and study the atmosphere of the Sun, making it easier to understand how it behaves in space and its influence.

Launch Delay and Final Countdown

The Proba-3 mission was scheduled for launch on Wednesday. However, due to some technical problem with the spacecraft, ISRO delayed the launch by 24 hours. The launch that was scheduled at 4:12 PM was finally changed to 8 minutes early at 4:04 PM by ISRO, making it a successful mission despite the delay.
